I’m Kim Newton, a Harrisonburg, VA-based author and educator. Throughout my career, I've focused on building empathy and belonging through storytelling. From my debut picture book, Goodbye Sister, to my leadership as an ESL educator and youth programs director, I create whimsical, inclusive spaces for children and families to flourish. I blend my passions for writing, literature, theatre, and learning with a deep commitment to equity, helping every student find their voice and a place to belong.
