Introduction
I'm an educator and author based in Harrisonburg, Virginia. My work is rooted in the belief that language and literature are powerful tools for building inclusive, compassionate communities. In addition to writing, I serve as a full-time secondary teacher of Multilingual Learners for Rockingham County Public Schools. When I'm not teaching, I love playing, exploring, and traveling with my husband and children. As a dual-national family, we take pride in our UK roots and enjoy tea time as much as we love exploring our woodland home here in Virginia.
Author
I focus on creating stories that help young readers navigate complex emotions and circumstances. My debut picture book, Goodbye Sister: A Sibling's Book for Infant Loss (2022), provides families with a gentle yet evidence-based book to help them process grief together. I continue to develop stories that support healthy social-emotional learning through imagination, play, and family relationships.
ESL Educator
As a teacher of multilingual students, I specialize in ESL pedagogy and English Language Arts instruction. I am deeply committed to ensuring that every student has the support they need to thrive. Beyond the classroom, I partner with organizations to develop curriculum and programs that are both creative and culturally responsive.
